Hydraulic excavators commonly couple engine energy to (normally) three hydraulic pumps rather then to mechanical drivetrains. The two major pumps supply oil at substantial tension (around 5000 psi, 345 bar) with the arms, swing motor, track motors and accessories whilst the third is usually a reduce strain (≈seven-hundred psi, forty eight bar) pu
